Elaine Graham Ltd Architectural Design has worked on contracts of a similar scale with A.D Calvert and felt that the company was well equipped to carry forth the architectural requirements.

The Linton Springs house project began in 2011.

A.D Calvert initially explored the client’s individual stone requirements and provided guidance in to the different types of stone finish. This was facilitated using the Stone Yards display of new and weathered stone sample panels.

Witton Fell Sandstone, which historically provided stone for Jervaux Abbey was chosen. The planners passed Witton Fell Sandstone after seen a sample panel on site.

A.D Calvert closely liaised with Elaine Graham Ltd and A & D Construction (Services) Ltd about the stone specification for the project which included detailed staged work.

It was important that this residential builds appearance had to aesthetically match with the surrounding landscape because it was to be built within a Green Belt and Special Landscape Area

Requirements needed for the course of this project included tumbled course walling, tumbled split faced and ashlar finishes, sawn and sandblasted paving, external steps, ball finials, and tapered columns were manufactured for the exterior. A stone base was provided for the base of the orangery and an interior bespoke limestone staircase was also manufactured by A.D Calvert.
